Development of the Willow Festival annex near Willow and Waukegan Road is continuing this month with construction of a 164-room Sheraton Hotel. A groundbreaking ceremony with company officials and Northbrook Village President Gene Marks was held June 7. The hotel, including a pool, restaurants, a fitness center and business center, is expected to be completed in July of 2008, a company spokeswoman said.
The development just west of the Willow Festival retail center, includes Pinstripes, a bistro, bowling and bocce entertainment center which opened April 29.
Future developments in the annex will include an Amcor Bank and a retail tenant that has not yet been named.
Willow Festival opened last month with outdoor gear retailer REI and Best Buy stores. Other parts of that center include a Lowe's home improvement store and a Whole Foods store, both set to open later this summer.
